Global Funding Coordinator - DCA Cambodia

If you would like to develop new business models and secure a diverse and innovative resource base for important development and humanitarian work in Cambodia, then look no further!

DanChurchAid (DCA) is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position as Global Funding Coordinator. You will join a country team of 15 dedicated staff and work closely with our local implementing partners of development and humanitarian projects, that depend on funding from a variety of sources. You will be given substantial responsibility within the elaboration, follow-up and reporting on projects in close cooperation with partner organisations and DCA colleagues.

Scope of work

The work consists of a variety of tasks in relation to donors, private sector, foundations, Cambodian partners and other stakeholders in relation to securing funding for the programme.

This includes proposal development, mapping and monitoring of funding opportunities, developing new business models, assisting with contracting, supporting grant management, securing visibility obligations and quality assurance of reports and other important external documents to meet funding requirements. You are a member of the Programme team, refer to the Head of the Programme Unit, and you will work closely with the Programme Officers as well as coordinate with units in DCA’s headquarters in Copenhagen, especially with the Global Funding Unit. You will have a special focus on business and human rights for which you will be DCA Cambodia’s focal point and resourceperson.

The ideal candidate

Our new Programme Funding Coordinator is flexible, results-oriented and dynamic self-starter with experience in fundraising, business model development and grant management in the development­/humanitarian field.

You have have a Master’s degree or similar and minum five years of experience in developing projects and writing proposals/reports for donors with the ability to synthesize and analyse complex and/or comprehensive data/information. Knowledge on EC funding instruments is an asset.

You are confident in the role as facilitator with excellent communication, IT, interpersonal and coordination skills, and are able to adapt to a multi-cultural environment.

It is abosultely essential that you are fluent in English and have excellent English writing skills.

Knowledge of South East Asia is an advantage.

DCA offers

A two-year contract with possibility of extension, starting as soon as possible. Salary according to qualifications and experience as well a competive benefit package. No housing allowance is included but for applicants applying from outside Cambodia, a trip you’re your homeland and back again is offered.

DCA has just developed a new 5-year programme for Cambodia and apart from the already mentioned areas of priority; the programme will have focus on private sector collaboration, innovation and multi stakeholder platforms.

DanChurchAid in Cambodia runs a office with a team of 16 staff based in Phnom Penh. We currently support 22 Cambodian partners implementing projects and have an annual budget of around 20 million DKK.
