DanChurchAid, Save the Children and Ground Truth Solutions (Keystone Accountability) have embarked on an exciting global quality and accountability project, working in 4 countries across 3 regions, funded by ECHO. We’ll be listening to the perspectives of conflict and disaster-affected people through an innovative survey process. This is an ambitious project, and we are now seeking to fill an important role within it. The Project Finance Manager will work closely with the Project Manager in Nairobi, supporting DCA and our partners to develop local skills, knowledge and communities of practice in the use of the Core Humanitarian Standard.
****Purpose:****
The Project Finance Manager (PFM) will ensure accurate financial tracking, recording and reporting of the project in compliance with the rules and regulations of ECHO in a timely manner. The PFM works closely with the DCA HQ Finance Coordinator and the country office finance staff and reports to the DCA Project Manager.
The overall objective of the position is to ensure that the Project Manager and implementing partners have sufficient good quality finance information to support their decisions for the project.
****Key responsibilities****
- Control funds allocated to the project, ensuring they are used in an accountable and transparent manner, and that no funds are diverted and no corruption is taking place.
- Produce accurate monthly Financial Reports for review by the Project Manager
- Coordinate and verify cash forecasts in project countries with relevant country office staff
- Support the development and quality assurance of budgets of implementing partners and DCA, and regular budget tracking and monitoring by ensuring the budget is accurate regarding formulas, unit prices, quantity and relevance according to the project activities.
