We are an international INGO recruiting a new Resource Mobilisation and Grants Coordinator for our Myanmar Programme.

Objective of the job :
The Resource Mobilisation and Grants Coordinator supports the programme to identify and secure new sources of funding through effective donor liaison and proposal development, leveraging learnings from ongoing projects. The role also supports the team on grant management including donor and annual reporting and provides technical assistance to MEAL components of projects. Coordination with headquarters on grant management and global learning processes is a key aspect of the role. The position sits within the Development Team and coordinates with and supports the Humanitarian and Finance teams as required.
The main tasks will include:
- Lead on proposal development, facilitating design workshops with local partners and writing winning proposals in close collaboration with the Head of Development Programme and the rest of the colleagues in the Development Unit.
- Champion donor compliance by providing technical and hands-on support to the team to monitor reporting deadlines and write quality reports to donors
- Acting as focal point between grant management teams in HQ and the Myanmar programme
- Lead on annual reporting for the whole country office together with MEAL staff and project staff
- Provide advisory support to monitoring and evaluation working closely with MEAL staff to ensure that new projects are based on evidence and learning from our existing programming
- On an ad hoc basis, manage and coordinate projects and cross cutting activities, depending on thematic focus and current capacities in the team
- Coordination of communications activities (where relevant) with project staff and HQ
- Offers ad hoc programme and admin support to all units when the need arises.
About you
To be successful in this role the ideal candidate has:
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant humanitarian or development work experience with documented capacity in fundraising, grant management and MEAL for donors such as EU, UN, FCDO, Danida or similar
- Strong experience in developing new project ideas and writing proposals
- Evidenced experience in consolidating and writing reports for donors
- Professional English writing capacity is required for this role
- Technical expertise in one or more of the following is preferred: empowerment, rights and governance, food security and livelihoods, gender-based violence
- Experience in Myanmar is preferred. Currently located in Myanmar an added advantage
- An outgoing, results-oriented and proactive approach and ability to build relationships with staff and partners whilst working remotely
- The ability to synthesize and analyse complex and comprehensive data
- The ability to effectively work in a complex work environment, set priorities and deal with numerous simultaneous tasks and deadlines
- Confidence in facilitating, with excellent communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
- The ability to adapt to a multi-cultural environment
We offer
The successful applicant will be offered a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension dependent on both funding and performance, including an excellent compensation package according to Terms of Employment.
