Organization: DanChurchAid
Closing date: 22 Jan 2022

DCA invites qualified service providers of the following services to respond to this advertisement.

Service providers who have responded to this advertisement and provide the required information may be invited to participate in the Procurement Procedure for the service(s).

  1. Carbon credits to be used for: a. DCA’s own compensation of its flight-related emissions, and b. for third-party commercial product

It is a requirement that the credits to be purchased are certified through an international carbon market standard. This is to ensure that carbon savings are tradable, permanent, additional and not vulnerable to leakage or double counting.

We further expect that the service provider relates to the decisions about carbon trading, agreed upon during the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP26.

Further, DCA wish to select offsets generated by projects that not only have an impact on climate but also have positive benefits for local communities and biodiversity in countries where DCA is present and has the capacity to follow up on the implementation. DCA prefers Uganda and alternatively Kenya, Ethiopia or Zimbabwe.
